Conditionals



Conditionals

  • Conditional অর্থ হল শর্তযুক্ত। আর সাধারনত IF যুক্ত বাক্যকে Conditional Sentence বলে।

Conditional তিন ধরনের-
1.      First Conditional- IF + Present tense + Future tense
If he works hard, he will shine in life.                   
If you want good result, you will learn a lot.
If you come, I shall be happy.                              
If it rains, the game will be stopped.
If you do not read attentively, you will fail.         
If you study hard, you will pass.
If you want, I shall help you.                              
If he comes, I shall go.
If it rains, they will not play.                               
Start right now if you want to catch the train.
If you want to shine, you will work hard.           
The plan will take off if there is no fog.
You will catch cold if you play in the train.    
If you like, you may come in.
If you want to succeed, you must work hard.
If you want to live better, you must eat a balanced diet.

2.      Second Conditional - IF + Past tense + would/could/might+ Verb - এর Present form.
If he came, I would go.                                 
If you worked hard, you might succeed.
If I were a king, I would help the poor.          
If I knew him, I would call him.
If I were a bird, I would fly.                       
If I were you, I would not do the work.
I would go if he came.                                  
If I were you, I would kill him.
If I worked in this factory, I would draw a good salary.
If you knew how to play with cards, it would be a pleasure.
If I worked hard in my field, I might get a good harvest.
If you worked hard, you might succeed.
If I were rich, I could live in a grand house.
If you worked hard, you could succeed.
If we all did the work together, it could be completed within a week.

3.      3rd Conditional  - IF + Past perfect + would have/could have/might have+  Past participle form.
If I had known you were coming, I would have gone to the station.
If you had asked him, he might have helped you.
If I had seen him, I would have told him the matter.
Had I seen him, I would him told the matter.
If I had known that you were in the library, I would have met you.
If you had asked him, he might have helped you.
